Writing feels like a painfully slow solo process.
How do other business leaders produce bestselling books and articles for respected news websites and international magazines?

They work with experienced, bestselling ghostwriters — trusted writers like me, award-winning journalist Paul Hill.

Hired pen. Ghostwriter and editor.

I write about leadership and the future of work and the evolving relationship between technology, innovation and human experience.I am co-author of a 2024 USA Today bestseller and contributing writer to a title that made The Wall Street Journal’s best-selling business book lists in 2022.You will find me in New York in November for the 2025 Andy Awards, run by the American Society of Journalists and Authors and Gotham Ghostwriters, as one of three finalists in the Business and Thought Leadership Category. My clients' articles appear in some of the world's best-known business magazines, news and tech websites.

Award-winning journalist.

"Sensei, muse, and writer extraordinaire."
That's how I'm described in an American CEO's book. Too kind.
"Someone who used to be interesting."
That's how a British politician now introduces me. Ouch.
Before switching to ghostwriting, I worked as a journalist from the late 1990s. I've covered murders, high-stakes mergers and political manoeuvres (not always on the same day). I learned my craft in the regional media, first at the Peterborough Evening Telegraph, then at the Eastern Daily Press. I wrote about politics for The Times Higher Education Supplement during the Blair years. You will find my freelance articles at The Guardian and The Sunday Times.

Digital content strategist.

In the early 2010s, I worked as content director at a digital marketing agency, acquiring essential digital savvy and working with great brands. Within a couple of years, we were celebrating a UK award for content strategy.
The fundamentals of great stories work wherever you are.
